Truck Dispatchers receive requests for truck services then contact their fleet of Truck Drivers to arrange pickups and deliveries. 


In addition to coordinating and managing the schedules of Truck Drivers, they communicate effectively with Customers, Shippers, and/or Receivers to ensure products and goods are picked up and delivered in a timely manner. 


They also ensure that all documents are completed and submitted in a timely manner to all parties involved so that the Driver is paid timely.


If needed, Dispatchers can also assist Drivers with completing their legal documents to Local, State, and/or Federal Agencies keeping them Compliant and operating Legally.

Truck Dispatchers help Drivers / Carriers obtain loads more frequently to keep their equipment moving with minimal or no lapse and facilitating every aspect of pickups / deliveries which allows the driver to mainly stay focused on the road with minimal disruptions and / or distractions.


Dispatchers can also help Drivers / Carriers stay FMCSA & State Compliant by making sure Truck Drivers are certified and have the appropriate Licensing, particularly to meet specialized freight load transportation requirements.

Since Truck Dispatchers work directly for Trucking Companies, their objectives are to: 

  • Continuously keep the Drivers' trucks loaded and moving. 
  • Work diligently with Brokers, Agents, & various Shippers to stay ahead of the truck to minimize or eliminate Drivers from losing money due to them sitting and waiting on loads.
  • Negotiate on behalf of the Trucker to obtain the BEST rate or the MOST money for their equipment. 
  • Assist with staying compliant with Local, Regional, and/or Federal Agencies.

BENEFITS OF HAVING A DISPATCHER:

Anyone can become a Truck Dispatcher. 


A good Dispatcher will possess  impeccable communication and at least basic math skills, which are good foundations for this field. 


Dispatchers should also be organized, have transparent communication skills, and be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.  


They should be vigilant in staying on top of schedules and monitoring Truck Drivers' progression throughout the pickup and delivery phases.  


An experienced Dispatcher will also occupy strong knowledge of the Trucking Company's Policies and Procedures in addition to the Rules and Regulations for Local, State, & Federal Agencies. 


They will also be knowledgeable of the  roads and highways, be detail oriented, and keep precise records for Billing and Tax Filing purposes.

Our experienced Dispatchers provide the following services: 

  • Receive and complete all required documents 
  • Ensure our drivers are scheduled and running in accordance to FMCSA Regulations. 
  • Intercept any questions/concerns from Customers to further ensure the Driver is not constantly interrupted or violating any Laws during transport, keeping them compliant and safe. 
  • Only contact drivers to confirm negotiated rates, monitor their progress for tracking purposes, obtain signed documents, and to troubleshoot any problems that may arise along the way (such as truck breakdowns, traffic or weather issues, or changes in delivery dates or locations). 
  • Relay timely and accurate information to Customers to keep them informed of delivery dates and time estimates. 
  • Make sure the truck trailers are filled by consolidating the freight orders, making the trip as cost-efficient as possible.
